Foreign Investment in Iranian Startups Is One-Fifth of Turkey
According to Tejarat News, a statistics review shows that the amount of foreign investment in the Iranian startup ecosystem is one-fifth that of Turkey. This number is lower than the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and… This shows that foreign capital in Iran will be more profitable because a more new market is waiting for it.
Reza Ghiabi, a business strategist, pointed out that the entry of a foreign investor into the field of Iranian startups is an opportunity for investors for four main reasons. The issue also creates more security for the exit of the domestic investor. On the other hand, when foreign capital enters the startup ecosystem, the volume of domestic investment also increases, and there is a significant relationship between the two.
“In addition, foreign investment is not just money; it brings with it international knowledge,” he said. The best startups active in the ecosystem have been associated with foreign investment. Foreign investment in the post-embargo period is based on several indicators that are also an opportunity for foreign investors.
“The statement of the second step of the revolution, which the elders also approve of the country, shows that it has examined the general policies of the technology system as the driving force of the country, which means that the laws support the entry of foreign investors. Iranians are at risk in the domestic market, but foreign investors will have low-risk investments.
Significant growth of startups in the post-embargo period
Ghiabi stated: Although Iran is not ranked among other startups globally, the growth of Iran’s ecosystem in the post-embargo period of 1996 was very high. Therefore, with the lifting of sanctions, the possibility of change in this space will be very significant. Iran is in an excellent position in terms of a young, educated, and balanced population. On the other hand, the ratio of foreign capital inflow to GDP is enormous, which means Iran is like the ocean to attract foreign capital.
He added: “A review of statistics shows that the amount of foreign investment in the Iranian startup ecosystem is one-fifth that of Turkey.” This number is lower than the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and… This shows that foreign capital in Iran will be more profitable because a more new market is waiting for it.
The expert on emerging economic phenomena said: “In addition, the Iranian nation shows fast-paced behaviors towards technological services, which is promising for a good startup market in Iran.” Also, in terms of geographical location, 15 countries are available to our country, which has a population of 600 million.
Absentee stated: It should be noted that the last capital comes from everyone. First, there must be legal infrastructure, supporting institutions, well-planned planning, and a change in the view of foreign investors in the country. For example, we should not attend the Dubai Expo so lightly and ugly. We must justify that Iran is a land of opportunity to the international audience.
