Reza Ghiabi at ILIA Academy: The Bridge Between Art And Economy
Last Thursday artists and graphic designers gathered at ILIA Academy to learn more about their future career path. Yes! “artists have career paths,” Ghiabi says. Watch the statement below:
In the Middle East between 2014 and 2018, the capital invested in the art market grew by 2.5x. Hedge funds focused on contemporary art in the Middle East are showing a minimum of 20% to 80% return on investment. The investments are low risks as there is no correlation between the art market and the stock market. And guess what? Almost 40% of the contemporary art pieces are from Iranian artists. In the session, Reza Ghiabi talked about the following:
- How to live differently as an artist?
- What inspires innovation?
- How to create and narrate stories for the art pieces?
- How to build our career path?
- How to earn social capital?
We hope that with the help of ILIA Academy, newbie artists can express what they want to communicate with more light on the career path.
