Dear friends and family,
How are you? I hope this email finds you in great peace and well-being. When I think of the past month, I can not think of a more significant event than Iran’s internet shutdown. A day after it took place and with the help of one of you, I got my access to the internet and immediately started connecting my friends to their family by calling them on Whatsapp and landline and putting both on speakerphone.
It was funny —sarcastically that in the middle of the Internet shutdown, we were testing PinTranasfer service doing banking for Iranians getting banned from one side and being filtered by the other. And I was asking myself, what is the thing between leaders and borders?
Nonetheless, the internet shutdown wasn’t the biggest event of the month if you ask the Oppmakr igniters. It was Careem project delivery day! We nailed it and are so proud of it! With Pashootan as the team lead and a group of champions, you can now count us as a team that helped this giant to shape its future.
What else? Sharing sharing sharing! We spent quite a good time with the board of Women Entrepreneurship Program of the Iran-Swiss Chamber as their partner. Also, I had an opportunity to be a guest lecturer at the Tehran Art University and going to another lecturing session at the Industrial Management Institute tomorrow.
