I hope you are safe and doing well. As always, I’m writing to you with updates about my journey to answer what is up in work and life.
As of this letter, I’m practicing to omit the photos and buttons inside the email to keep the text simple and more readable. As always, there are so many links for you to explore!
October was more relaxing for me. We took a road trip to Shiraz and Esfahan to stay at the beautiful gardens and boutique hotels there (felt like this). Finally, I spent a good few days with my family. I even finished translating my dear friend Kare Anderson’s book, “Opportunity Makers: Have Greater Impact, Meaning & Joy with Others” to Farsi. It is coming out soon!
On the work side, our philosophy at the Oppmakr Institute is making more sense than ever, baby! Optimism x Pragmatism x Elitism is the answer! Using this combination, In our project with the Post Bank, we help over 2 million Iranians in small Iran villages access the internet for more than 4 hours a week for free.
At eSafar, we are still partnering with startups and businesses like Digikala to tackle their human resources challenges through domestic safe trips. With our B2B initiative, we can now partner with your company and give your employees, suppliers, and customers the time of their life in one of our Kish programs. If you are interested, drop me a line to get more information.
I’ve got involved with Shadzi.club —a platform for sports lovers and trainers to connect online. At the moment, we are finding ways to spread the good news and create strategic business alliances. If you have an idea that you think we should here, shoot!
At Elham Music Institute, the pandemic made Nassim and her team of almost thirty amazing instructors go online to organize their classes. They are now teaching music to students not only where they are based in Tehran but from the UK to the US and Germany. If you are interested or know someone, fill this form, be a connector, and pass the link.
TEDxTehran also had a great October connecting to the fellow TEDxers to organize a TEDxCountDown event in Tehran. Take a look at the event page here. The talks are online and will be updated on this page in a few days. We’re also going to organize the TEDxTehranWomen in November! Don’t miss the event and followup on our social media for updates.
October ended by celebrating Navid’s birthday at an Idea Designers board meeting when he told us about our next issue coming out in a few days. I hope we can have the next issue printed in November.
That’s all for now. I hope you also have a great journey in life, and someday we can do something exciting together if not already!
My best as always,
Reza
