How are you? Have you adapted to the pandemic lifestyle yet? What about the post-pandemic? Do you think it’s going to be the same as before? I don’t think so. We never go back; the only way is forward.
November was a passage to move forward.
First, I attended the TEDSalon Transformation, a two-screens experience of a series of future-forward talks plus networking with bright-minded people and other fellow TEDx organizers. The speakers and a performer explored how “transformation” will define and change the future of business, society, and the planet, as TEDBlog puts it. “did this live and improvised talk where I shared my thought about how young Iranians are losing their relationship with reality and why they need to understand the reality they’re living in,
had a deep interview with the Innovation Factory activists about the meaning of life and how it related to entrepreneurship (no link yet, the video will be published in the coming months),
and finally joined my fellow professor Dr. Ketabi to lecture his design students at the Tehran Arts University.
The non-profit world is the full-benefit world, as well.
Our team has organized the TEDxTehranWomen 2020 with Mehrnoosh Baratpour as the co-organizer. Once an attendee, now a TEDxTehran director, Mehrnoosh is my teacher and inspiration for our women’s program.
Themed “Fearless,” the TEDxTehranWomen 2020 was an amazing combination of talks, performances, and online activities to deep dive into stories of fearless women. The Netherlands Embassy and our other partners helped us to go so far. The talks will be on our website and social media by the next week. Don’t miss them! Not to brag, but the event was the most integrated online experience that I ever experienced.
At the Idea Designers magazine’s editorial board, we plan our academy to be born, where the students can design their education path, and they learn what they really need. It takes a lot of time to design such a system, but we can soon accept students.
Creating value through solving real problems
For the business to move forward, you need to solve real problems. That is why
- at the Post Bank, we are empowering local NGO’s to maximize the “loan-readiness” of farmers to be able to give low-interest loans to these folks,
- at eSafar, we are in a constant search for businesses who are looking for a different travel experience for their staff, suppliers, and stakeholders,
- at Shadzi we are challenging our members to pay attention to their body via our online training programs,
- our team at SeeTo is busier than ever because they create the most brand-suitable high-quality video content,
It’s all about the community
We launched the Oppmakr Fellows Program. It provides transformational support to a network of visionaries – scientists, academic researchers, artists, activists, entrepreneurs, doctors, journalists, and inventors – who find different approaches to tackle mutual regional and global challenges and create positive change. Through this program, we will expand and enforce our reach to define more effective projects with the “real elite.”
On another note, lots of community members have asked us about “funding” in business. That’s why I decided to teach the art and science of funding strategy and business fundraising next month. We have a few virtual seats available for our fellow entrepreneurs who want to gain access to the capital they need. The workshop will be on December 10. Book now or pass the good news!
