It is now almost a few minutes past midnight and I’m writing to you for our monthly update. What is up? How are you? It’s absolutely amazing to read your responses to these letters: so many challenges and so many opportunities.
While we are encouraged to keep our social distance, we have the ability to connect now, more than ever. I learned this when I was mentoring a selected number of startups in Tanzania a week ago. While we were talking about their funding and go-to-market strategy I couldn’t believe the similarities they are experiencing in comparison to the startups in Iran.
The biggest hit for the COVID Crisis was for the travel and tourism startups lowering their revenue by 80% on average, we are on survival mode at the eSafar.com. The challenge of the month for eSafar is how do we take a thousand travelers to Kish Island and back!
Don’t forget to read/watch me reading this article on Tadbir Magazine! Here I explained the two mechanisms of an organization: the value it offers and how it delivers. I argue that during the COVID times, those who focus on the real value they are creating are the winners. Also, the way the organizations deliver their value should be reengineered.
There are also some opportunities to get involved this month:
In our project with Digikala,we are constantly looking for those who are working for large companies like Digikala to learn from. Reply to this email if you feel you have something to say to the company. Good things will happen then!
You can join the group and go to Kish with eSafar. Here are the details of the tour. If you are interested reply to this email, we’ll give you a special offer (that’s one of the privileges of being in this email list!)
INOTEX event is around the corner. In a few days, you can visit the largest get together of startups in Iran. At the Idea Run, we are curating its stage. I can give 15 free exhibition and conference passes. It’s yours if you apply soon enough! Just go to this link and enter “ghiabi@inotex” as your promotion code.
