Reza hosted Ramadan’s Iftar with the Theme of “Long-termism”
Hopelessness, unemployment, global warming… none of these issues can be addressed with the decisions that fit a lifetime. We need longer perspectives to address complex challenges. While our everyday routine focuses more than 70% of our brain power on the past and the future 24 hours, life can also be about the past and the future 24 years, so as our decisions.
Our need for “longtermism”, was the theme for the latest version of Oppmakr breakfast series on 30th of May. And because of Ramadan, this time we hosted an Iftar event at our beautiful Servcorp office.
From a young entrepreneur to a university professor, to a government official and a veteran management consultant, enthusiastically jumped into the conversation to make a dialogue and discuss possible futures we can collectively build if we make a balance between our urgent tactical decisions and longterm ones.
