I’m writing to you while on my summer break in Turkey, where finally I got the time to sit and think about the events of the past two months. For me, May and June was a roller coaster of projects and happenings. Here are a few highlights:
Giving voice to community thought leaders
Led by Ebad Ghafouri, our team organised the INOTEX Stage 2021 for the 4th year in a row, bringing more than 80+ startup founders, intellects and advisors together in 4 days.
At Zitel, we are running a whole year around internal communications. One of the steps we took was to run a series of events for the people in the company to have fun and make conversations. The first one was absolutely a success.
At the legendary TEDxTehran, we are planning for below events:
– TEDxTehran 2021 (Late August)
– TEDxTehranCountdown (Early November)
– TEDxTehranWomen (Early December)
We are also organising the first TEDxIran Regional Workshop for the Iranian TEDx organisers to connect and learn.
I also had a great conversation with Sanaz Sadooghi and Amirhossein Yazdani about “Migration from Iran” on the first TEDxTehranStudio talk (watch now).
Connecting big guys for a 2000 Billion Toman agreement
After four months of hard work, we finally managed to arrange a deal between the Post Bank of Iran and Digikala with a value of 2000 Billion Toman. The agreement allows the bank to microfinance the customers of Digikala.
Strategising for growth
With the new government in charge, it seems that almost everything I wrote eight months before, in my article Iran’s Presidential Election 2021 & Country’s Tech Startups, is happening. That is why we were getting ready for new market changes for startups we are working with.
A master class for future advice givers
Before my trip, the last thing I did was to lecture at the Shaparak School’s master class for its consultants the same day as my birthday. The class was terrific. We talked about the difference between a consultant, advisor, coach and mentor. Leveraging this topic, I tried to give the most pragmatic approach to the art of advising in a way that adds real value.
I’m gearing up for more adventures to come, and I hope there will be an opportunity for all of us to work and share knowledge.
Till the next month,
My best as always.
