How are you? Listening to the news, reading tweets, and hearing what we usually hear in meetings, I can say Iranians it is a strange time.
Last week I was playing poker with my family. They all had more experience at the game, and I bet they could read my moves far before I did that. Yet, guess who won? Me. 🙂 They asked me how did I manage to win? And I replied with my everyday strategy: Don’t do whatever everyone does!
In doing different, I spent my last month structuring, strategizing, and communicating!
Structuring a vision
So I received a call from my friends at MIKA that they need my help opening up a business lounge and a cinema tech in my neighborhood. Of course, I said yes! and added tons of meeting to my schedule. In the process, I got to work with the amazing super-start Shahab Hosseini!
I usually create a small task force/think tank and let all the existing running processes go. I also let 10% of the whole project time go for brainstorming. After that, an amazing network of friends come to help me. We hire A grades and start collaborating with potential partners. We did the same here, and now the best membership-based business lounge in Tehran plus an amazing cinema tech are born in the Jordan neighborhood.
Strategizing businesses
At the Post Bank, we just had our general meeting of the shareholder this month. During the past two years, not only we’ve managed to make the worth of shares grow 14 times, but we also have been announced as the best semi-governmental entity.
Zitel on the other hand is getting bigger and bigger each day. Doubling Zitel’s team requires a lot of internal communication. We might also launch 5G internet in the coming month!
Communicating to the bright minds
I have been working with our team to bring the next TEDxTehran to life. And we did it!
TEDxTehran 2021: The Fabric of our Future is around the corner. REGISTER NOW. This year, we are thinking of a hybrid event, both for online and in-person audiences. We have amazing talks and lots and lots of surprises!
Moreover, my article about the art of counseling has been published by Tadbir magazine. In the article, I tried to focus on the difference between Consultant, Advisor, Coach, and Mentor. Exploring these roles might help us understand how to ask for counseling and give it the right way. Read the article here.
That’s it for now! I hope to see you at the TEDxTehran, here from you, or see your works. Stay in touch to stay relevant.
My best as always.
