Dear friends and family,
This is the 37th of my monthly letters to our community. Starting 2022, I’m also sharing these letters on my LinkedIn account with thousands of subscribers.
As we are getting closer to the end of the Persian year, everyone is just pushing for every little bit of task to be done. At these times, I’m usually super busy helping my clients and partners to finalize their next year’s strategy and budget in specific areas like stakeholders management and business development.
But this wasn’t the only thing that kept me busy this month. I had a minor eye surgery which required me not to look at anything bright (including my mobile screen) for an entire 48 hours. Can you imagine? Instead, I listened to the book I always wanted to listen to: “Her Eyes” by Bozorg Alavi. And I also had time to slow down a little bit and spend time with my family.
On the community side, it is that time of the year that I focus on the contents of our INOTEXStage conference because its 2022 edition is right around the corner. So along with our team, we started to gather the most exciting and hot topics of the Iran startup scene and invited speakers.
One of the best things about my job is that I get to do Opportunity Making on an organizational level. It means that I connect organizations in ways that most benefit their best. For instance, for its second year, Post Bank is sponsoring INOTEX. A few days ago, at the ore conference INOTEXPitch competition, I had the chance to share how Post Bank has changed during the last two years, and boy, that bank has changed!
I had dedicated my month’s Eghtesad News column to “Islamic Modernization and Traditional Economy.” After lifting parts of Iran’s sanctions, I found the time to interview Tejarat News on threats of mandatory e-namad for Irani startups and foreign investment in startups.

And there is one BIG news that I wanted to share. I’m glad to announce that WORTHY IDEAS Publishing has started working. We published “I Wanted it; I Made it Happen” by Lili Golestan as our first book in publishing. It’s a big story and even bigger ideas for those who want to change.
I hope you are also enjoying your job and making a significant impact. Whatever you do, don’t forget the power of community building, authentic practice, and hard work.
Till the next month,
Best,
Reza
